Weekend Diary + OOTD
Hey Fashionistas!
This weekend was so great! I was able to have a relaxing weekend and get back into one of my favorite hobbies - aerial silks! For those of you who don't know what it is, think circus. I go to The Circus Studio where they teach a variety of classes such as aerial, pilates, aerial yoga, trapeze and pole. Every instructor I've had has been extremely patient and they push me the right amount.
I had lunch at Panera, yum! (Soup not pictured) Sunnies are Von Zipper from Red E Surf Shop. Can you tell they are my favorite?
How great is this tank? It is from Forever 21 and it is promoting Breast Cancer Awareness. I love the "Passion Strength Faith" According to the Forever 21 website, $1 of each purchase will be donated to The Keep A Breast Foundation.
The sports bra is from American Eagle, but I bought it at Marshalls. The yoga pants are from Nike, and the flip flops are Reef from Red E Surf Shop.
*Tip: For an aerial class, wear tight pants (yoga pants) because you will get silk burns if you wear shorts. As for shirts, I would recommend a form fitting tank or tee so your shirt won't get tangled up in the silk. If you do end up wearing a loose tee, I would recommend wearing a sports bra because there might be some upside down poses. Also, sandals or any kind of slip on shoe works best because you are barefoot during aerial. Everything else is provided (typically) for an aerial class. Don't forget water!

Learning to trust that the silks are holding you was frightening at first, but after you get over the fear nothing can stop you. LET GO!
